How to make a Royal Butler famous – by Elmhay PR

http://www.nicholasveitch.com/news.php

I wanted to share this video link with you – the link above is the culmination of a PR launch for Nicholas Veitch, the new company set up by Grant Harrold, formerly butler to HRH the Prince of Wales.

Grant and I met at a BNI meeting about a year ago and since then Elmhay PR has helped set up his website and get his business of the ground, including his PR.

It started with a features in The Lady http://www.lady.co.uk/people/profiles/1187-you-rang-sir, Cotswold Life and the Western Daily Press but it was when the Daily Mail came to call that things really started moving.

They’d written a previous news article last year about Grant’s departure from Highgrove and wanted to do a follow-up story, seen here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2234925/Prince-Charles-agrees-payout-bullied-butler-Grant-Harrold.html, about his out-of-court settlement with the household.

In return, Elmhay PR managed to negotiate a feature from sister title the Mail on Sunday, who sent one of their top writers down to the Hare and Hounds in Westonbirt to see Grant in action giving one of his etiquette dinners.

Following those two articles, international media came calling. Grant has appeared in magazines in Germany, Poland, Australia and Scotland. CBS News in the USA have interviewed him, as have this show, German broadcaster RTL for their RTL Aktuell programme.

You’ll see me on the video – Elmhay PR has been with Grant every step of the way and has been instrumental behind the scenes, not only arranging interviews but also liaising with venues and making sure the whole process goes smoothly. I even did one national reporter’s bow tie for him! He shall remain nameless…

Now Grant’s an unusually newsworthy case given his connection to the Royal Family but also capitalising on a global passion for all things British has been an enticing ingredient for media all over the shop.

So it’s a classic example of what we can do. And working with Nicholas Veitch has been great fun into the bargain.
